In the motion before council on Monday, Little proposed linking Dempsey Road to Rice Lake Road to connect Lynn Valley with the Inter-River community and address traffic problems stemming from the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing. The Rice Lake Road connector was considered in the 1990s but never pursued. North Vancouver residents Eric Gadot Anderson and Katherine Fagerlund also spoke against the plan during the public input period.
