The west flank of the existing Ainslie Creek wildfire isn't seeing an increase in fire behaviour, however there is increased fire activity on the Anderson Creek wildfire directly to the south. She said crews are working to create contingency lines south of the Brunswick Creek wildfire and the Anderson Creek wildfire, with a goal to prevent further spread southwards if the winds shift. “The head of the Anderson Creek wildfire has merged with the southern edge of the Ainslie Creek wildfire.” BCWS said crews have set up sprinkler systems and are actively defending structures around Boston Bar, Boston Bar First Nation and Canyon Alpine.
