Tyler Newton was arrested in West Kelowna on June 30 after he was allegedly found with a 2012 Ford Escape that had been stolen from Pick-n-Pull in West Kelowna the day prior. Following a bail hearing in Kelowna court Thursday, Newton was denied bail. After some discussion, the court determined Newton had actually planned to reside at 1520 Ponderosa Road in West Kelowna, where he had previously lived. That property is just around the corner from where Newton was allegedly found with the stolen Escape.
