The Big Bar wildfire complex surrounding Clinton has now burned more than 48,500 hectares, according to the BC Wildfire Service. The Pear Lake wildfire has also developed a pyro cumulous cloud and is producing its own weather system with active lightning, the BCWS said. According to the BC Wildfire Service, there was growth yesterday on the west flank of the Fiftynine Creek wildfire, which also pushed past containment efforts southwest towards Clinton.
