Two boys aged around ten to twelve were left clinging to the structure of a pier in Blackpool, England, in late May after the incoming tide cut off their escape route. A relative's attempt to reach them also failed against the rough waves, leaving him stranded on the pier's supports too. RNLI lifeboat crews arrived just in time to pull all three to safety.
