2026 Bond Referendum Could Expand Athletic Opportunities at Norwalk

KNIA KRLS Radio – The One to Count On
As Norwalk voters prepare to decide on the district’s bond referendum this November, high school activities director Josh Tobey says the proposal includes several projects that would help meet the needs of the district’s growing athletic programs.
Tobey tells KNIA Sports from an athletic standpoint, one of the biggest additions would be a second turf field on campus, providing more space for practices and competitions.
Tobey says the added field would help reduce scheduling congestion at Warrior Stadium and provide more flexibility throughout the year.
The referendum also includes plans for a new indoor hitting facility adjacent to the recently completed baseball and softball complex.
“We’re very thankful that we’re able to put those other athletic facilities on that bond as well, and hopefully they’re two things the community can rally behind.”
