A showcase of some of Iowa’s best outgoing high school senior football players returns to the UNI Dome today, and multiple KNIA/KRLS area athletes will be highlighted. Pella’s Palmer Hemming, Pella Christian’s Brecken Ritzert, and Newton’s Koltt Ahn all accepted invitations to play in the Iowa Shrine Bowl earlier this year. The trio will compete for the South team, culminating with the All-Star game today in Cedar Falls at 4 p.m.Players invited to the Shrine Bowl raise funds and support for Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals. Newton’s Caden Klein and Pella’s Nate Warner were also both invited, but declined to play due to major injuries. Find more details about this year’s event.
