The Pleasantville baseball team won their second consecutive Class 2A state title at Merchants Park in Carroll on Friday, heard live on 95.3 KNIA. Pleasantville jumped out front 2-0 early after a Kennedy two RBI single to score JJ Phillips and Easton Cox. The Trojans would add one more in the third on a Kennedy sacrifice fly to score Logan Roff. Pleasantville then added two more insurance runs in the sixth from a Bingham RBI double to go up 8-1. “These guys are extremely talented but their work ethic to go with that talent is second to none.
