Sixteen pieces by local artists sold and the raffle winner took home a uniquely carved beef skull. “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support this year’s Art Auction Fundraiser,” said Lxi Weber, who serves as Executive Director of the arts council. For the fundraiser, artists donate a portion of their sale income to the arts council. In exchange, the council gives artists several sales and promotional opportunities throughout the year with the fundraiser auction and other events sponsored by the arts council. During the auction, “we had the opportunity to meet new collectors and supporters who we hope will become long-term friends of the Star Valley Arts Council,” said Weber.
