Morocco and Mali have taken a new step toward strengthening economic cooperation with the relaunch of the Morocco-Mali Business Council during the Mali-Morocco Business Forum held in Bamako on the sidelines of the 4th session of the Morocco-Mali Joint Cooperation Commission. The Moroccan delegation included companies from strategic sectors such as agribusiness, energy, construction, mining, finance, telecommunications and logistics, reflecting the diversity of opportunities for bilateral cooperation. Another agreement was signed between Morocco’s Federation of Metallurgical, Mechanical and Electromechanical Industries (FENELEC) and Mali’s FENEM to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector. Participants emphasized the importance of boosting intra-African trade, developing regional value chains and supporting projects capable of generating growth and employment across the continent. The discussions also highlighted the Royal Atlantic Initiative launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which seeks to facilitate Sahel countries’ access to the Atlantic Ocean and strengthen regional connectivity and economic integration.
