The Hawks in the Eastern Cape said a Gqeberha woman was arrested on Friday on charges of fraud and money laundering at a well-known local business. Hawks spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana, said the arrest was made by members of their Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team. Mhlakuvana said the arrest followed an investigation into allegations of financial misconduct reported by City Paint and Tool. The Hawks spokesperson said the 44-year-old was remanded in custody and is expected to apply for bail on Monday.
