Culdcept BEGINS ReviewAfter a ten-year hiatus, Omiya Soft’s cult-classic hybrid series makes its return with Culdcept BEGINS. Build That DeckWhile past entries in the franchise were notorious for steep learning curves, Culdcept BEGINS eases players into its systems with remarkable restraint. Visually, Culdcept BEGINS shifts away from the darker, realistic fantasy artwork of previous titles in favor of a bright, paper cutout, hand-drawn aesthetic. Leave it on the table if you are looking for an immersive, narrative-driven RPG or dislike RNG elements in strategy games. Culdcept BEGINS is a nice return for a franchise that was simply ahead of its time.
