A Marion man was killed last Thursday night when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire in Perry County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Sergeant Reginal M. King, a spokesperson for the ALEA State Troopers, said 42-year-old Barry E. Moore was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima that left Perry County Road 23, struck a tree and caught fire. Since then, the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences has confirmed the crash victim was the 42-year-old from Marion. The crash occurred on Perry County Road 23 approximately three miles west of Marion at around 11:30 p.m. last Thursday, July 16th.
