Related Story Regents to vote whether to raise tuition, approve Gesa improvements A helicopter flew over Pullman last week to replace stadium lighting at Gesa Field. The aircraft lifted lights from the stadium roof and surrounding poles during the two-day procedure. The new lighting is only one part of the first phase of stadium improvements the university ​announced in January. The stadium upgrades were approved by the Board of Regents Nov. 14, 2025, to enhance the fan and student-athlete experience at Gesa Field. Athletics also received funding for a $3 million renovation of the football locker room in December.
