At least four people died in two road accidents in the Eastern Cape in the past 24 hours. One person was killed and 58 others were injured when a truck travelling on the R331 road in Patensie in the Sarah Baartman District overturned on Friday. The Eastern Cape Department of Transport said the truck was ferrying seasonal workers when it crashed. He said a Toyota Corolla was travelling between Ngqamakhwe and Butterworth when the crash occurred on the R409 before Ndabakazi interchange. “All the three males occupants including the driver died on the scene after the vehicle rolled several times,” Komisa said.
