SRINAGAR: Search operations to trace a 25-year-old man who reportedly jumped into the River Jhelum at Sempora entered the third consecutive day on Saturday, with rescue teams continuing efforts to recover his body. The missing man has been identified as Sajad Ahmad Mir, 25, a resident of Balhama in Srinagar. According to officials, Sajad Ahmad Mir reportedly jumped into the River Jhelum on July 23. Since then, multiple rescue teams have been conducting extensive searches in the river to locate and retrieve his body. The search operation was continuing till the filing of this report, with rescue personnel scanning the river stretch despite challenging conditions.
