An investigation determined that the fire was intentionally set using homemade incendiary devices, resulting in property damage, police added. In the early-morning hours of Dec. 30, 2024, town police arrested a 28-year-old Gananoque resident, who was charged with possession of incendiary material and arson – damage to property. The individual was sentenced to a two-year conditional sentence order followed by a three-year probation term which includes a weapons prohibition.
