What began in 2014 as an event to connect local rescue organizations with the community has grown into one of Gananoque’s signature gatherings for dog lovers. Article contentThe annual Thousand Islands Bark Bash returns Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Town Hall Park, bringing together rescue organizations, vendors and pet owners for a free day celebrating dogs while raising awareness and support for rescues across the region. This year’s event is expected to feature nine rescue organizations, along with vendors offering canine products and services, demonstrations and other activities. Admission is free, and spectators are encouraged to bring their dogs, provided they are well-behaved and remain on a leash. Cooling stations will be available throughout the park to help keep pets comfortable during the day.
