PROF. Ralph Galan has been named director of the UST Center for Creative Writing and Literary Studies (CCWLS), succeeding Prof. Cristina Pantoja-Hidalgo, who led the center for 14 years.
Galan, who teaches literature, humanities and writing courses, served as CCWLS assistant director from 2012 to 2026.
He earned his master’s degree in English Studies, major in Creative Writing, from the University of the Philippines Diliman.

Established in 1999 as the UST Center for Creative Writing and Studies, the CCWLS is tasked with developing Thomasian literary writers and scholars and connecting them with other writers and artists in the country.
