The Door County Board of Supervisors could award contracts Tuesday to make upgrades to the Door County Historical Museum and renovate the former Younkers building for a proposed museum archives facility.
Back in March, county officials began discussing a new future for the former Younkers building, which has been owned by the county since 2019.
After the Door County Board of Supervisors balked at an original estimate of $8 million, it began exploring a new concept with a $3 million price tag that would also provide space for a private business.
Last month, Door County Administrator Ken Pabich said officials did what they could to make the project as efficient as possible.
The Door County Board of Supervisors is also set to discuss an additional $150,000 needed to complete runway improvements at Cherryland Airport and approve the appointment of Matthew Decur as the new highway commissioner when it meets at the Door County Government Center on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
