The Mavericks don't need another player to come in and score 25 points a night. What they could use is someone willing to do the dirty work, bring nonstop energy and simply be a constant positive force. That's why Morez Johnson Jr. feels like such an intriguing breakout candidate heading into 2026. Playing alongside Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg means Johnson won't be asked to carry the offense or force shots that aren't there. Add in his ability to finish around the basket, and you have a player who can influence games without needing the offense to revolve around him.
