On Friday afternoon, PGA Tour golfer Michael Kim found himself becoming a part of history when he fired a 12-under, 59 to rocket to the top of the leaderboard at the 3M Open. Kim opened the tournament with a two-under round on Thursday and found himself flirting with the cut line when he teed off on Friday. Twelve birdies and no bogeys later, though, he found himself on the top of the leaderboard and a part of PGA Tour history with one of the lowest rounds ever recorded. After the round, Kim revealed a telling bit of information: he almost skipped the event in the first place after playing five straight weekends. Felt like that all day out there," Kim, whose lone tour win came at the 2018 John Deere Classic, said after the round.
