The Washington Post reported today that Michigan is high on the list, but South Carolina would likely be the launch pad for 2028 primary voting. South Carolina would be the first state to hold a Democratic primary for president in 2028 under a preliminary recommendation passed with 26 out of 49 votes Friday by a Democratic National Committee panel, capping an internal debate riven with racial overtones.
