Payments from the Unclaimed Property Division of the Wyoming State Treasurer’s Office continue to climb as 40.6 % of all money paid during the program’s history has occurred over the past two years alone.
“We continue to work hard to reunite money and other unclaimed property to their rightful owners,” Wyoming State Treasurer Curt Meier said.
Earnings from this money completely fund the Unclaimed Property Division without using any tax dollars.
Earnings in excess of that amount – $12.69 million in FY26 – are deposited into the state’s general fund.
