The state of Alaska just made over 3,000 noncitizens inactive on their voter rolls and are demanding they prove their citizenship to be made active again. This just after New Jersey admitted to over 6,600 noncitizens on their voter rolls. "More than 3,000 letters were sent to registered voters in Alaska asking them to verify their U.S. citizenship prior to the state's Aug. 18 primaries, according to the Alaska Division of Elections." Voters who receive the letters are moved to inactive status but not removed from the rolls. No supporting documentation is required to verify citizenship, elections officials said, and voters who respond to the letters are moved to active status.
