The North American monsoon season might at last be here, bringing the potential for much-needed rain across the Western United States. Road work extendedSwan Mountain Road’s south end closed for construction in April and the work was projected to take approximately 14 weeks. Thirteen weeks into construction, Summit County announced the work will take a few extra weeks. Crews discovered that the road’s subsurface is in poor condition in parts and will need to replace it with new material.
