On Friday, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley joined families at the Schulz Aquatic Center for a free community pool day, one of the signature events of the county's Healthy County Challenge. "The free community pool day has always been a part of the Healthy County Challenge, so we invite community members to come out, have fun, and get some free snacks," said Tristen Shorter with Milwaukee Parks. Now in its fifth year, the Healthy County Challenge encourages residents to improve their health by exploring Milwaukee County parks, walking trails, participating in outdoor activities and spending more time in nature. Friday's event was made possible through a partnership between the Milwaukee Parks Foundation, the YMCA and Milwaukee Recreation.
