Budgam, July 24: Traffic movement through Beerwah main town was restored on Friday after remaining disrupted for four days following damage to the diversion over Nallah Sukhnag caused by recent flash floods.
After completing the repair work, a successful trial run of vehicles was conducted before reopening the route for public traffic," an R&B official told Rising Kashmir.
The official said the diversion has now been fully restored, enabling smooth movement of vehicles through Beerwah main town.
Describing the road as a key transport link, the official said it connects Beerwah with Budgam district headquarters and several adjoining towns and tehsils, making its early restoration essential for commuters and transporters.
Meanwhile, local residents have appreciated the R&B Department and the District Administration Budgam for their prompt response and timely completion of the restoration work, which helped normalize traffic in the area within a few days.
