Srinagar, Jul 24: After days of incessant rainfall, weather conditions improved across Kashmir on Friday afternoon, bringing much-needed relief as officials said the immediate flood threat had receded. He warned that the fresh spell of rain could trigger landslides, mudslides, shooting stones and flash floods in vulnerable areas. No flood threat in KashmirChief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC), Kashmir, Showkat Hussain, said there was no flood threat in the valley and that the situation remained under control. Flash floods hit UdhampurMeanwhile, flash floods struck Barkuanda area of Udhampur district on Friday, damaging several houses and forcing the evacuation of affected families. In another incident, flash floods hit Kadwah village in Basantgarh tehsil, damaging several houses and standing maize crops.
