A schoolboy had been run over by a cement-laden truck on Janata School Road. Shamsul, who serves as a driver at Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station, drove the patrol team to the scene as part of his duty. Tuhin, a fourth-grade student of Gaital Janata School, was killed after being run over by the truck around 10:30am, police said. Only after reaching Janata School Road did the officers discover that the victim was Shamsul’s own child. He was riding along Janata School Road when the cement-laden truck struck him.
