The moment a helicopter carrying a trainee pilot and his instructor lost control and plummeted to the ground has been captured in terrifying new footage. The Robinson R22 helicopter is seen ripping through trees just seconds before it crashed-landed on top of a car in dashcam footage captured by a nearby vehicle. The pair had been mid-way through a low-level aerial exercise class when the helicopter clipped a power pole and lost control, hurtling to the ground. Police and paramedics were called to the confronting scene at Bankstown Airport car park on Birch Street about 1.30pm on Friday. The trainee pilot, a 19-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
