A couple of local health care providers have been chosen to receive federal funding to help with technology and infrastructure improvements. The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services recently announced that a total of over $42 million in grant funding has been awarded to support over 65 projects as part of the Rural Health Transformation Plan. Also chosen to receive funds is VieCare Butler LLC dba LIFE Butler County Medical Center on West Diamond Street. They will use nearly $123,000 to purchase a new Micro Bird bus and enhance transportation access.
