David Roddy Signs With Hapoel Jerusalem
['Luke Adams']
Hoops Rumors
NBA free agent forward David Roddy has signed with Hapoel Jerusalem, according to a press release put out by the Israeli club.
The team says it’s a one-year contract for Roddy, though previous reporting from Sport5 suggested the deal would have a one-plus-one structure, with an option for a second year.
Roddy, 25, was selected with the 23rd pick in the 2022 draft out of Colorado State and spent his first season-and-a-half in the NBA with the Grizzlies.
Roddy has no two-way eligibility remaining and likely found guaranteed money hard to come by from NBA teams this offseason, so he’ll make the move overseas for the first time and figures to play a prominent role for Hapoel Jerusalem.
The team competes in the EuroCup in addition to Israel’s top domestic league and features multiple former NBA players, including top scorer Jared Harper.
