Her story is one of thousands in north-central Venezuela, where two earthquakes, measuring magnitude 7.2 and 7.5, struck on 24 June. One month later – and after more than 1,460 aftershocks – the ground has still not fully settled. Seven states have been affected, with La Guaira, the coastal state north of Caracas, among the hardest hit.
