SRINAGAR: Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Friday chaired a high-level security review meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir, directing officers to enhance vigilance, strengthen area domination and reinforce the security grid across Jammu and Kashmir. Reviewing the overall security scenario, Prabhat directed officers to intensify area domination and night domination, particularly in vulnerable and urban areas, to maintain a strong police presence and prevent any attempts to disturb peace. He also asked officers to strengthen security around vital installations and enhance intelligence gathering through better coordination among police and intelligence agencies. The DGP directed officers to maintain constant situational awareness and ensure communication systems and field-level coordination remain fully functional to respond to emergencies arising from adverse weather. Urging officers to remain vigilant, Prabhat said sustained preparedness, coordinated action and prompt response were essential for maintaining peace and public confidence across Jammu and Kashmir.
