SRINAGAR: The Centre has said that it has received no proposal from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir under the Modified Special Incentive Package Scheme (M-SIPS), Electronics Development Fund (EDF) or the Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC) 1.0 and EMC 2.0 schemes. The reply further stated that no proposal had been received from JK for Electronic Manufacturing Clusters under the EMC 1.0 or EMC 2.0 schemes. The Modified EMC 2.0 scheme was launched on April 1, 2020, to attract major manufacturers and their supply chains. Nationally, 31 EMC projects have been approved across 18 States, comprising 19 projects under EMC 1.0 and 12 under EMC 2.0. Five Common Facility Centres have also been approved, including three under EMC 1.0 and two under EMC 2.0.
