Three individuals charged with human trafficking after being tracked down in KingstonThe Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged three people from Quebec with human trafficking after tracking the cellphone of a missing youth to a rest stop on Highway 401 in Kingston. A search of the vehicle found that two of the passengers were victims of human trafficking. Police also seized approximately 500 grams of suspected cocaine, several weapons, $1,500 in cash, along with other items associated with drugs and human trafficking. Charged with human trafficking, human trafficking a person under 18, obtaining material for the benefit of human trafficking, and possession of drugs for the purpose of human trafficking are 23-year-ol Mathis Bourgeois, 29-year-old Joseph-Jean Pevensly, and a person who cannot be identified under the youth criminal justice act. Bourgeois also faces additional charged of weapon possession and driving with alcohol and cannabis readily available.
