Investing.com -- Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) on Friday reported second quarter results that exceeded adjusted earnings expectations while revenue fell short of analyst estimates, with shares rising 2.7% following the announcement. Shares gained 2.7% as investors responded positively to the earnings beat and raised full-year guidance. Verizon delivered 348,000 broadband net additions in the quarter, up 12.3% YoY, including 193,000 fixed wireless access additions and 155,000 fiber broadband additions. Verizon also raised its mobility and broadband service revenue growth guidance to 2.5% to 3.0% for 2026, with growth expected to accelerate to approximately 4.0% in the fourth quarter.
