Tevanyan challenges extended detention, charges

Tevanyan said even the prosecution acknowledges that there is no substantiated evidence supporting the charges brought against him.
“What is noteworthy is that even the prosecution admits there is no substantiated evidence behind the charges they have brought, yet they ‘justify’ my detention by saying they are working to find evidence and grounds for their claims.
There is no evidence or substantiation whatsoever,” Tevanyan wrote.
Tevanyan’s detention was extended on July 22.
On May 22, the Central Electoral Commission approved a motion to strip him of immunity and initiate criminal proceedings against him.
