A Keene man was given a suspended jail term after pleading no contest in a Route 9 crash that seriously injured another driver. (MyKeeneNow) A Keene man received a suspended jail sentence this week after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge stemming from a 2024 crash in Chesterfield that seriously injured another driver. Lucius Skiffington, 21, was sentenced in Cheshire County Superior Court to 270 days at the county jail, all suspended for 18 months, on a charge of vehicular assault. Police said Skiffington’s car crossed the center line and struck a minivan driven by Edmund Appel, also of Keene.
