Microsoft has officially announced a new testing phase for an ad-supported tier of Xbox Cloud Gaming, offering players free access to stream select titles in exchange for viewing advertisements. Under this proposed model, players can access games from the cloud library without an active Game Pass membership. However, gaining and maintaining gameplay access requires viewing a set duration of advertisements both before initiating a gaming session and at periodic intervals during gameplay. The public testing phase for this ad-supported cloud model launches today, exclusively available to active members of the Xbox Insider program.
