Matador Resources has bolted on acreage in the Permian’s Delaware sub-basin for $1.275 billion from private equity firm EnCap Investments. The acquisitions would boost Matador’s total acreage position in the Delaware to 240,000 net acres. The company said the test validates acreage in that area of the Delaware, where it has acquired 50,000 contiguous undeveloped net acres.
