The U.S. House of Representatives on July 22 passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2027, H.R. 8800, which includes several priorities championed by U.S. Rep. Ken Calvert (R-CA). “The passage of the National Defense Authorization Act is an important step in keeping America safe and supporting our military,” Rep. Calvert said. “The NDAA includes an important investment in our troops by giving them a well-deserved pay raise and resources to improve housing, education, and access to childcare for military families.” The House voted 216-212 to approve the FY 2027 NDAA, which would establish national security policies and spending authorizations, advancing it to the U.S. Senate for action.
