BISMARCK, N.D. – A shift in the wind direction today is expected to bring Canadian and western United States wildfire smoke into North Dakota.
The Department of Environmental Quality says smoke conditions ‘can vary significantly by location’ and change ‘quickly as wind patterns shift.’
The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality encourages residents to monitor local television and radio stations for updates specific to their area and use AirNow to check current air quality conditions.
Environmental Quality continues to monitor its statewide air sampling network.
Residents can view current conditions through the AirNow website or mobile app.
