Qatar had planned to restart LNG production after a ceasefire between the United States and Iran was signed in June.
3: The European Union (EU) has passed its 21st sanctions package against Russia for its war in Ukraine, this time providing a carve-out that loosens restrictions on Russian LNG.
The bloc is still moving ahead with a ban on Russian LNG imports next year.
But Greece secured an exemption through the latest sanctions package that would allow Athens-based Dynagas and others to continue moving Russian LNG volumes to non-EU customers for one year.
It also moves Russian volumes from Yamal LNG and operates specialized tankers that cut through Arctic ice.
