Angelo Romano, a Vatican Relator at the Dicastery of the Causes of Saints, renewed the hope in the cause of Sainthood of Cardinal Otunga, noting that the process that started in 2010 is “still alive.” Njoroge said devotion to Cardinal Otunga continues to grow, with many faithful visiting the late Cardinal's resting place at the Resurrection Garden in Karen to seek his intercession. “The number of people coming to pray at the resting place of the Servant of God is simply overwhelming,” he said, adding that many pilgrims have reported receiving “graces and favours” through Cardinal Otunga's intercession. Peter Kaigua, have organized fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns to support the cause for sainthood. He added that many of the faithful, both in Kenya and beyond, continue to emulate Cardinal Otunga's heroic virtues.
