Both team enter the contest following a 1-1 draw on Thursday with the Lobos tying at San José State and the Bulldogs tying against San Diego State. UNM is 5-2-3 on the season, 1-0-1 in the MW, with Fresno State 4-3-4, 1-1-1 in the MW and are statistically very similar. Further, both teams are first and second in assists at 20 (New Mexico) and 19 (Fresno State). The Lobos have scored 22 goals to date with 20 assists, with the Lobos scoring 23 goals with 17 assists last season.
