Cuba Defines its Potential in Santo Domingo 2026

The Cuban men’s water polo team is the main attraction of the day at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo 2026, as they face Puerto Rico in the semifinals.
Miguel Artires’ students have practically secured fourth place, so they could face the Americans again in the semifinals, while Puerto Rico (3-1) and Colombia (2-2) will decide the other matchup.
There will also be archery in the following categories: individual and women’s team compound, mixed team compound, individual and men’s team compound, individual and men’s team recurve, mixed team recurve, and individual and women’s team recurve, as well as tennis.
Before arriving, part of the team completed a beneficial altitude training camp in Mexico in preparation for the Dominican Games.
