According to reports, including the Tri Cities Area Journal of Business, Willamette Community Bank will be acquired by GESA Credit Union. The Acquisitiion Will Begin in the First Half of 2027Credit union officials made the announcement, Willamette Community Bank (WBC) has four branches in Marion and Linn Counties in Oregon, and a loan office in Portland. When the acquisition is complete, all branches will remain open and staffed as they are, but will become GESA Credit Union branches. These will be the first Oregon branches for GESA, which first opened in the Tri-Cities in 1953. GESA merged with Inspirus Credit Union in Seattle in 2019, and in 2024, acquired Security State Bank out of Centralia.
