Chaffee County Search and Rescue North will host its annual community debrief on Wednesday, October 8 at the Buena Vista (BV) Community Center (715 East Main Street). Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and presentations will begin at 6:00 p.m. The event will feature presentations from four local organizations:Chaffee County Search and Rescue (SAR)Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW)Colorado Off Road Enterprise (CORE)Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA)This year marks the third annual iteration of this recreation and safety debrief. In 2024, the event doubled its initial attendance. Topics covered included trail maintenance and construction, wildlife safety and animal sightings, river safety and emergency calls, and SAR updates and statistics.
